I have just returned from a great trip to Easter Island. I would recommend this destination to any age group that has a moderate level of fitness. After an 8 hour flight to Lima on LAN and a easy connection through Lima then a 5 hour flight to Easter Island.

I stayed at the Explorer Lodge approx 10 minutes from the airport and by far the best accommodation on the Island. The resort is fully inclusive leaves you wanting for nothing and all your needs are met With great food, drink and excursions. None of the little touches are forgotten from the recyclable metal water bottles that are for the clients to keep and take HOME with them after their stay and filtered water throughout the property for the guest.

With traditions that go back hundred's of years and with stories that keep yearning for more. The guides we had from the Explorer resort had passion about their country.

Some of the most rugged coastline I have seen anywhere in the world has breath taking scenery.
